Bibles for The Bridge

vbs_2013VBS BUYS BIBLES FOR THE BRIDGE

More than 65 kids and their families learned about being good neighbors at Vacation Bible School in Rembrandt – and responded by providing more than 150 Bibles for middle school youth camps sponsored by The Bridge of Storm Lake.

The kids were hosted by dozens of youth and adult volunteers from five area churches, Our Saviors Lutheran and United Methodist in Rembrandt, Emmanuel Lutheran of rural Alta, and Trinity Lutheran and Riverside Evangelical Free of Linn Grove.

Through an exciting ‘Everywhere Fun Fair” theme, the kids learned the great commandment: loving God with all that you are, and your neighbor as yourself. Partnering with The Bridge of Storm Lake provided a perfect fit with a local mission that reaches out in practical ways to all the new neighbors God brings to our doorsteps.

The area VBS celebrated with a full-house community service and fellowship luncheon in Rembrandt, with a program by the kids and presentation by Jay Dahlhauser of The Bridge. Plans are already underway for next year’s exciting VBS. For more information, contact Eloise Obman 286-5579
