Summer is almost over, and here at Hidden Acres we’re already looking toward fall.  Once Labor Day passes, we transition into weekends full of youth retreats and family events, which will take us all the way to Christmas!
One of our last Hidden Acres programmed retreats of the year is the Women’s Retreat on September 14-15. Are you already registered? Awesome! If you arent, we hope you’ll attend! This wonderful one-night retreat is packed with amazing chapel sessions, tons of free time options, and delicious food. Consider joining us for a weekend away where you can unplug and enjoy time with friends and family.
This retreat typically starts at 3:00pm on Friday and concludes at 3:00pm on SaturdayFriday’s schedule includes supper, chapel, and various free time activities. Saturday’sschedule includes two meals, two chapels, several prayer events, and more free time activities. New this year: If you’d like to extend your time at Hidden Acres a bit, you can opt to add our “Early Start” for an extra $10. This will allow you to arrive at 11am, enjoy lunch with us, and have a bit more free time for prayer, fellowship, and relaxation. We’re also hoping to add a couple free-time activities for those who arrive early.
Below are some links that will help you promote and register for the retreat. You’ll also find information on the speakers and theme. We’re so excited for this year’s retreat and for the work God will do in the lives of the ladies who can attend. Please pray that God’s truth will shine through and lives will be changed!

CLARITY – “I saw the Lord”
Isaiah 6:1
Judie Colyer came from Great Britain as a young girl and through the witness of an aunt came to know Jesus as her personal Savior. She was blessed to be in a great church and grew in her Christian walk, leading her to bible college and a desire for full time ministry. She met her husband in her senior year of high school and they celebrated 43 years of marriage until God took him home while on a mission trip to Zambia, Africa in April 2015. Together they served in youth, camp, missions, and pastoral ministry. For the past 12 years, Judie has been involved in women’s ministries with an emphasis on friendship evangelism. Her book, “Homes of Light,” reflects some of those ideas. She delights in showing women how to have Jesus as their Savior, helping them in their walk with Jesus, watching them have ‘ah-hah moments’ through the Word of God, and trusting God to do what they can’t do. Judie has four sons and daughters-in-law, eight grandsons, and one granddaughter. In her spare time you will find her decorating her friends’ homes, playing with the grandkids, or putting on a tea party. She is currently enjoying her newly renovated 100-year-old home in old town Ankeny.
Kayla Colyer accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 19 at a local coffee shop. She found herself in a full surrender to Christ after the sudden loss of her father-in-law. Kayla has been married for 8 years. She’s a hairstylist who loves using her chair to witness to others. She has a love for God’s Word and has a desire to teach and share her testimony. In her spare time you can find Kayla studying her Bible, sipping lattes, gardening, riding her bike, reading, and decorating with blush pink and gold.
Judie and Kayla will be speaking together at each chapel session about CLARITY, this year’s theme.

That’s all for now ladies. Please reply to this email with any questions or call the office at 515-547-2751. See you soon!
